Frequently Asked Questions — Matcha Filter Remover
Answers to common questions about removing the TikTok matcha filter, AI color correction, pricing, privacy, and more.
Tool & Technology
How the AI color correction works, supported formats, and processing details.
Can a matcha filter be perfectly removed?
No. Color cast, added grain, and contrast changes can be improved with AI color correction, but warped geometry and pixels permanently altered by the filter cannot be recovered. Our tool effectively restores natural skin tones and reduces the green tint.
How does AI matcha filter removal work?
Our AI analyzes your photo, detects the matcha filter’s color cast and texture effects, and applies intelligent color correction to restore natural tones. It automatically detects whether your photo is a portrait, landscape, or still life, then applies an optimized correction profile for that scene type. Processing takes about 15 seconds per photo. Learn more about how it works →
What photo formats and sizes are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WebP up to 25 MB. We recommend uploading the highest-quality version of your photo for the best results — screenshots from heavily compressed TikTok videos will have lower starting quality. For tips specific to the app, see how to remove the matcha filter from TikTok photos.
How long does processing take?
AI color correction takes approximately 15 seconds per photo. You’ll see a live processing indicator while the AI analyzes and corrects your image.
What types of photos work best?
Portrait photos (photos of people) consistently produce the strongest improvement because the AI is optimized to restore natural skin warmth and tone. Landscapes, still-life, and other scene types are also supported and generally show good color correction, but portraits benefit the most from skin-tone-aware processing.
