Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Matcha Filter Remover, accessible at matchafilterremover.site (the "Site" or "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Matcha Filter Remover is an AI-powered photo color correction tool that helps users reduce the green color tint, adjust color balance, and restore natural-looking tones in photos that have been processed with the TikTok "wild hearts whisper" (Matcha) filter effect.

Important Limitations:

  • The Service performs AI-based color correction, not pixel-level restoration. It cannot recover original pixels or image data that was permanently altered or destroyed by the filter effect.
  • Results vary depending on the image content, filter intensity, and original photo quality. Portrait photos generally produce better results than landscapes or other scene types.
  • The Service does not remove clothing, reveal hidden content, or reconstruct obscured areas of any image.

2. Account Registration

To use the paid features of the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

By using the Service, you agree to the following restrictions:

3.1 Prohibited Content

You may NOT upload, submit, or process any of the following through the Service:

  • Sexually explicit, pornographic, or adult content
  • Images depicting nudity or partial nudity
  • Images intended for the purpose of revealing, uncovering, or "seeing through" clothing or any covering on a person
  • Images of minors in any context that could be exploitative or inappropriate
  • Images that violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Images infringing on the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable

3.2 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use the Service to:

  • Attempt to reveal, reconstruct, or expose private or intimate content beneath clothing, filters, or coverings
  • Process images of other individuals without their consent where such processing could be considered invasive or harassing
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Service's security features or usage limits
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in excess of normal usage patterns
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service
  • Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or violates the rights of others

3.3 Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse to process any image that we reasonably believe violates this AUP
  • Terminate accounts that violate this AUP without prior warning
  • Report violations to relevant authorities if required by law

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Our Content

The Site design, text, graphics, logos, and software are owned by or licensed to Matcha Filter Remover and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

4.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the images you upload. By uploading an image, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process the image solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license terminates automatically upon deletion of your image from our systems (within 24 hours).

4.3 Processed Results

You receive a non-exclusive license to use the processed output images for personal purposes. Commercial use of processed images is permitted provided the original image was lawfully obtained and all depicted individuals have given consent.

4.4 Third-Party Trademarks

"TikTok" is a trademark of ByteDance Ltd. Any references to TikTok on this Site are for descriptive purposes only (nominative fair use) and do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with TikTok or ByteDance.

5. Service Limitations and Disclaimer

5.1 AI Processing Results

The Service uses artificial intelligence to perform color correction. Results are generated algorithmically and may not perfectly restore the original appearance of a photo. Specifically:

  • The Matcha filter may cause permanent pixel loss and geometric distortion that cannot be reversed by any tool, including this Service.
  • Color correction results are approximations based on AI interpretation and may differ from the original unfiltered image.
  • Results vary significantly between portraits, landscapes, and other scene types.

5.2 No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that the Service will produce results satisfactory to any particular user or for any particular image. We recommend trying the free trial to evaluate the Service before purchasing credits.

5.3 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

5.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA, IMAGES, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

6. Payment and Billing

6.1 Credits

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Each AI color correction process consumes one (1) credit. Credits are non-refundable once used.

6.2 Pricing

Pricing for credit packages and subscriptions is displayed on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice to active subscribers.

6.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your payment card information on our servers.

6.4 Subscription Billing

Subscription plans auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Credits associated with a cancelled subscription remain available for use until the end of the current billing period.

7. Refund Policy

7-day Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your purchase, subject to the following conditions:

  • The request must be made within 7 calendar days of the original purchase.
  • You must have used fewer than 5 credits from the purchased package or subscription.
  • Refund requests for subscription plans that have been active for more than one billing cycle will be prorated.
  • Refunds are processed through Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.

Non-Refundable:

  • Credits that have been consumed through image processing are not refundable.
  • Promotional or discounted purchases may have different refund terms, which will be stated at the time of purchase.

8. Termination

8.1 By You

You may stop using the Service at any time. Your account and unused credits will remain accessible for 90 days after your last login, after which inactive accounts may be deleted.

8.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms or the AUP, suspected fraud or abuse, or extended inactivity (90+ days). Upon termination, any remaining unused credits are forfeited.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. General Provisions

10.1 Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

10.2 Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

10.3 Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.

10.4 Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to any successor entity.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the People's Republic of China.
